Description: Café Thirty-A is a casual fine-dining restaurant featuring grilled and fire roasted seafood, meats and poultry, wood-oven pizza, vegetarian fare and hedonistic, "architectural" desserts. The menu changes daily according to availability of ingredients. Fine wines and cocktails--including a creative menu of the best martinis in the area--complement the meal. The ambiance is open, casual, "islandy," yet sophisticated, with vaulted ceilings, upside-down market umbrellas, hand painted chairs, intimate lighting and half-wall dividers creating the atmosphere. Patrons often state, "It just makes you feel good to walk in here!" It's a fun, happening place to dine - with impeccable, yet unpretentious, service. Recent and ongoing awards are: Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, Florida Trend Golden Spoon Award, North American Restaurant Association Five-Star Award of Excellence, NW Florida Daily News “Restaurant of the Year.” Private dining for 25-80 is available upstairs in the Fishbone

“Good food; lacking atmosphere”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

This was our first visit and we were satisfied, but decided we would not return. The food was good, but nothing memorable. Also, we thought the atmosphere was not romantic, fun, or even relaxing, again, nothing memorable. As we were seated, the waiter informed us that unless we could order our meals in 2 minutes, we would not be eligible for the buy one meal and receive the other free (this offer is available from 5-6 P.M. daily). While this was completely understandable, I felt the waiter could've been more tactful in his delivery. However, the waiter was excellent and knowledgeable otherwise. This restaurant is not exactly kid friendly with a limited, overpriced menu. Personally, I would recommend other restaurants when choosing fine dining and they are plentiful along 30a and the Destin/Panama City Beach areas. But, again, the food was good.

“Nice little find on a beautiful beach”
Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I along with our one year old ate here. Food was great. My filet was INCREDIBLE. Husbands chicken was a little dry but good flavor. We stumbled in during buy one get one free. Happy we did. Good was expensive
But def worth it. Waiter was a little stuck up... Prob because of the baby. I always clean up after him and tip extra though. Service was good but not impeccable.

“Always so good”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

One of my favorite places for a date night with my husband. The service and food is consistently good. He likes their steak and I usually get seafood. It's a bit pricey, so we try to go during the 5-6:00 window when entrees are buy one get one free. Be sure to call early for a reservation, though. During our most recent visit to 30-A, we waited until the last day of our vacation to call and were disappointed to find they had no reservations available for that Thursday evening. It's fine for families, but we prefer it for a date night.

“Cafe 30A: Close to Perfect Meal”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

Have not been to this area before, so looked to TripAdvisor for suggestions. We decided on Cafe 30A and the decision could not have been better. It's a beautiful old house setting. We dined upstairs, which was much quieter than the ground floor, and we were glad we did not have to yell to hear each other. Our waiter was excellent. The food was imaginative and delicious. Fried oyster spinach salad and crab cakes were tasty starters. I had a dish of roasted grouper topped with sauteed lump crabmeat. My wife had a lobster tail on top of a fabulous three-cheese mac and cheese. We also had a bowl of the most buttery grits imaginable. Shared dessert was a key lime cheesecake that was light and tart. Overall, one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Thanks, TripAdvisor!

“Excellent.”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

Excellent covers it. Wait staff is tops. Food is incredible. Tips? It's a very cold resturant. Ladies prepare. Prices are 30a prices but the food is worth it. Parking is tight so valet. We plan to visit soon as locals. If you are visiting you must try before returning home!
