I tried to buy some Grouper and cook it on the grill at my hotel. It had absolutely no taste. I heard good things about Red Bar and so I decided to try their Grouper. They were serving it over some hominy cakes or something, which sounded interesting. It was AMAZING. I routinely cook and eat fresh sockeye salmon, so I am a tough customer when it comes to fish, but Red Bar did it right. It was melt-in-your-mouth done with a zesty flavor that wasn't too bold. They also give you just the right amount of food with a leafy salad right on the plate. And it wasn't any more expensive than anywhere else on the beach. Add good service and live music and you've got a 10. Note: Red Bar is local color. Be prepared for a fun environment and exquisite cuisine.
