“Very beautiful and clean”
Reviewed April 14, 2014 via mobile

We have been coming here for years . It is a great park rather you are rv camping or renting their cottages . What they call one bedroom usually accommodate a family very easily . It is always fun to meet the people who come here . Great alternative for families instead of a condo . Plenty of bike and hike areas.
Very helpful staff and the 3 miles of private beach is so nice and not over crowded like other areas up and down the beach

“Old Florida Charm”
Reviewed April 1, 2014 via mobile

We camped here for 3 nights and absolutely loved it! Wonderfully landscaped tent camping area with plenty of shade and easy access to restroom facilities. Beach is only a 1/2 mile walk from the campground area; there's a tram but it's an easy walk and even easier with bikes, so be sure to bring those- rentals are available though. All in all one of the best state parks in the area for camping, and can't beat the atmosphere. Two thumbs up!

“Best state park in the panhandle”
Reviewed March 29, 2014 via mobile

Our family of 7 camped here in our tent in February and loved it! Our campsite was next to the playground and showers. The beach was less than a mile down a beautiful walkway/road. There was a tram also available to take you to and from the campsite/beach. The dunes were amazing and the beach was pristine. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Nothing better than camping next to the ocean.

“Hiking to the Beach”
Reviewed March 24, 2014

What a great find - the panhandle like it used to be, a long time ago. Yes you can wait on the shuttle, but if the weather cooperates - then take the 15 min walk to the shore. The trail is paved and wanders near the usual FL woodlands. Once there, you just might have the beach mostly to yourself. Off in the distance (to the West) you'll see the highrise mess that is Destin. Luckily the state has locked this up for all our enjoyment.

“One of our favorites!”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

We went hiking at Topsail after hearing about it from the cafe owner and chef at the Hibiscus Cafe in Grayton Beach. What a wonderful place--it is beautiful with its white sand beach, emerald water, and dunes. Campbell Lake, a fresh water lake behind the dunes is picturesque. It offers several paths and a paved bike path. There is a tram that takes visitors from the parking area to the beach boardwalk. The park is well maintained and is located at the end of SR 30A, accessible by paved bike path or car. There is a fee but well worth the amenities, cleanliness, and patrol on the beach and around the park.
