“Finally, a hip, fun restaurant on Sanibel!”
Reviewed August 23, 2014

Interesting cocktails with a fun, knowledgeable bartender. Had the ravioli special, amazing! Half portion of fish stew, so good i dipped half a loaf of bread in the sauce. Dessert was banana strudel, could barely finish, after eating so much but couldn't stop eating it! Will definitely return

“Great Food and Service”
Reviewed August 20, 2014

Fabulous service and great food. Fresh Cobia was perfect. Grilled peach salad was unique. Nice wine choices. Fair prices. One of the only restaurants I would recommend in the area.

“Better last time”
Reviewed August 16, 2014

We ate here for our anniversary as we had a year ago. It's still a great deal, but I must say I think it was better the last time. In fairness, I think that our small plates this time were not as goo a choice. The chef is one of the most adventurous around and thats why we go there.

It's a small unpretentious place on Sanibel with an ambitious menu of both food and drink. It's reasonably priced for the quality and offers a wide variety of choices. They have an acoustic guitarist who is terrific and personable and he just adds another dimension to the dinig experience. The service is polite and professional and really, other than some of our choices which were not to our liking- it was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special evening.

“Adult night out”
Reviewed August 5, 2014 via mobile

Mostly an adult crowd and those tables with kids were obviously out of place. Foodie heaven, the entrees were delicious. Wine list needs to be better stocked and a few more choices. Good service, great menu.

“Not so Sweet Melissa's Cafe”
Reviewed August 1, 2014

What a disappointing dining experience. We went on July 30, 2014. After being served our appetizer we had to ask our waiter to bring some bread. We had the red and yellow beet salad which contained 2 chunks of red beet and several chunks of yellow beet which was very old. We ordered the filet medium rare which was delivered blood rare. We sent it back and the same piece of beef was returned closer to medium rare but very dry. We also ordered the Red Snapper special which was sent back because it was over cooked. The return piece of fish was excellent. After reading all the reviews we were very disapointed. This will certainly be our only visit.
