We dined at Traders on a Friday evening in October without reservations. They very graciously seated us at a nice table in the restaurant away from the gift shop when we asked for a different table than one the hostess had planned to seat us. The wait staff was prompt and attentive, memorizing the specials for the evening which were extensive and detailed.
After placing our order, the wait was moderate. I had a filet mignon with Gorgonzola cheese and a grilled portobella mushroom which was mouth watering. Others at our table enjoyed salmon encrusted with horseradish and grilled fresh snapper. Each plate was gracefully plated with sides of asparagus, creamed fresh spinach and something else I don't recall.
After enjoying this wonderful meal, we spent some time in the gift shop where we were surprised to find more than the casual knickknack and souvenir. The shop offered unique jewelry and accessories in a Florida beach style.
Timbers is a step above the usual restaurant in decor, service and menu offerings. We definitely enjoyed our evening and will return again.
