Our stay seriously marred by the uncaring attitude of Nan, who is Pres. of Kenoyer Real Estate, the booking company We arrived later than intended on Sun night to find the resort office closed and no information anywhere for us, although we had pre-paid over $900 for our stay. There was a pager # to call "in case of emergency". We called 10 times starting at 7;05 PM. Finally at 9:45 we had to drive almost an hour to find an place to sleep that wasn't going to cost $200. The next day, Nan's attitude was pretty much "we have your money, so its your problem you didn't arrive during business hours". Nan refused to make any concession for our lost night at the resort, the horrible first night of our vacation and the extra charges we incurred. Dawn, who worked in the office, by comparison, was over and above in her level of service and her caring attiutude. She could teach her employers something about Customer Care. We lost over $135 of our payment for our room, plus an additional $80 for the hotel, plus gas and a late night scramble for a hotel after starting travel at 5 AM. Nice resort but they need new property managers or let people know their managers really don't care once they have your money. I check service as terrible, however, this DOES NOT include the lady at the desk who was wonderful. This is ONLY referring to the property manager.

Room tip: Studio very small, even for 2 people. Can't imagine 4, although they advertise it that way. A queen-sized Murphy bed and a pull out couch. Once they'er opened, absolutely NO room left.

like gas grills, sports equipment and bikes, usually charged extra at other similar locations. Quiet sunset facing right on beach, best value on Sanibel . Yes sizes of efficiency units are small, but try to find equal space for the same price anywhere on the island: you cant. As far as empty units, most are owned by timeshare owners and can be left out of rental program if owners so wish.

We have been going to Caribe for over thirty years with our family timeshares. There are bigger and more glamorous resorts on the island, of course, but this location is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are spacious enough. The one bedroom sleeps up to 6 but is comfortable with enough privacy for two. There are two washers and dryers. The resort has plenty of bikes that are relatively new and are free for use by guests. Some have child seats on the back. There are toys in a box that children are free to use. Outside grills and picnic tables are always available. There is a big fat resident stray cat to keep you company. The resort is pet friendly, with free parking. The beach is just steps away. The best part of this resort is that there are no crowds. There are always plenty of chairs at the pool and the other amenities are always available as well. A great place to relax and unwind! The clientele is mostly older folks but our family if four with school age children felt very welcome :)

We were driving along Sanibel and decided on a whim to check in to this resort after driving by and seeing they had a vacancy. It was 4 o'clock when we called and were offered a rate of $150 for a studio apartment for the night which is spectacular for high-season when most rooms are going for $300+/night. The room was small, clean and and suited our needs perfectly. The resort grounds are immaculate and lead to their private beach. The room comes with bicycles and beach chairs which was a nice touch. Great beach for shelling. We walked down to the beach for sunset and sunrise-very romantic place. The resort personnel were super nice. It doesn't seem like there's much to do after 7pm on Sanibel so don't count on it being a hopping place for nightlife. Great place to be romantic and relax though.

We stayed here through our time share 6 years ago and loved it. Since then, we come back twice a year for a 1 week stay each time. Never able to get it through our time share again, but we just pay for it anyway. The location on the island is perfect, close to all. We always rent the Outrigger cottage. It's perfect for 2 people. We BBQ every night! If you don't get a cottage, studio #8a is great (on the end, 2nd floor, with a big window overlooking the beach). 1 bdrm # 3a is the best, you have 2 patios to relax on.
The girls in the office Dawn, and Angela are very sweet and accomodating! Jerry the groundkeeper is super nice, and takes care of whatever you need ASAP.
