Art, food and drink blended exquisitely. Steak was cooked perfectly and the service never felt rushed or intrusive. Expensive though and I was not expecting such a high check. I would return with friends or for a intimate evening. Otherwise there are many other restaurants on the island that won't break my bank while on vacation and business trip.

We have been here at least 10 times. Excellent! Scallops, steak, great salads and sandwiches, Sunday brunch menu.....can eat outside during the day. A little off the beaten path...well worth the effort to find it!

Spent a week on Sanibel Island, but only got to the Blue Coyote once. I wish I had gone more often! Easily the best dining experience to be had on Sanibel. Get there half an hour ahead of time to take in the gorgeous and inspired art collection. If you are very lucky, as we were, Mitch, the proprietor, will find you and give you a tour and explain the magic behind each piece.

The food was equally outstanding. The exotic cheese starter with Tupelo honey (and you thought it was just a song!) and fig jam was exceptional. The entrees, whether seafood or meat, were perfectly prepared and delicious. The setting was elegant, the service attentive and professional, and I will be visiting again when I'm in the area. One negative, not bad enough to detract a star, is the noise level, which may have been higher when I was there due to a noisy birthday party going on nearby.

We have eaten at the Blue Coyote twice this winter. Loved our experience at their private club in Fort Myers so knew this would be worth the drive for us from Bonita Springs. We have enjoyed both dinners. Wonderful wine/beer selection and the food is the best! The cucumber salad and house specialty.........Pork Chop......is worth the price. And, the chocolate bread pudding with ice cream just "iced the cake" for us. It is in a club house of a golf course, but they have put their classy touch to it. Go once and you will go back!

A review by a local restaurant critic intrigued three of us to try this secluded Sanibel dining spot for lunch. The pan-seared diver scallops atop a coaster of pancetta in a maple-bourbon reduction sauce served as an appetizer cinched the deal to go. Unfortunately, this dish is only served at dinner but the manager said that if not too busy, he would, and did, have a chef make it for lunch. Fabulous! Special of the day, a shrimp po boy was loaded with shrimp, and the grouper fish taco was memorable.
Service was attentive and not hovering. Decor is warm and welcoming, with Chahuly like chandelier in the center of the dining room, paintings of coyotes, and dark beams crossing the ceiling. A worthwhile place to stop for lunch or dinner.
