“A TRADITION”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

For some time now, it has been a tradition to order peel and eat shrimp and drink ice cold beer while we are on Sanibel. The Lazy Flamingo is our restaurant of choice for this activity. We like having a roll of paper towels at our table for our dirty fingers. One can never eat too many shrimp!!!!

“Not as good as previously”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

We were previously big fans of this place on previous visits to Sanibel. The service is generally friendly but the food was not quite as good as we remembered. The oysters were not shucked properly and there was shell in the oyster. Burgers were ok and the french fries are too salty.

“Just OK”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

I was a little disappointed after reading some good reviews on the quality of seafood. The selections were pretty sparse. I ended up ordering fish tacos with fresh grouper...not bad, but nothing to write home about. My wife ordered shrimp, and it was also just average. On the bright side, we went during Happy Hour, and they had great beer prices with a large selection.

“Ordinary Food”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

Stopped here as soon as we saw a restaurant as our first stop on Sanibel. We did not order any beer, but they had a very good selection to choose from. I got a Grouper Sandwich. My boyfriend got a Steak Sandwich. When they say Steak Sandwich, you might think, shaved steak....NOPE a full piece of steak! Nice concept but really not that easy to "sink your teeth into". My Grouper Sandwich was good, but it was my first time trying Grouper which really has its own flavor. Fries were good with both sandwiches. Waitstaff was attentive and not intrusive. Not a pass by, but just ordinary.
