I have tried Island Cow after living here several years. Some of the reviews about bugs (we live on a barrier island that is environmentally conscious where tourists want the outdoor experience), bugs cannot be avoided but shouldn't show up in an omelette. After 25 years plus I can say restaurants that have THAT BIG a menu do not do anything well. The servers and hostesses act like you are priveledged to be there. It is all about location! Rosie's (old Hungry Heron) Jerry's, or Sanibel Grill in the Cheeburger plaza are better bets. Ask a local. I have NO IDEA why people line up here!

We shared a seafood omelette and yogurt with fresh fruit - both were wonderful. There were several covered outdoor tables where we ate. Coffee was from Starbucks. Service was excellent.

Lunch was outstanding, Alligator tails..Went back for breakfast and had a dish that consisted of biscuits covered with eggs, home fries, onions and gravy (name had something to do with Elvis). Highly recommend.

Let's just say coconut French toast. Yum! But my husband was head over heels for the smoked salmon & bagels (cute mini ones, with tons of capers etc.). Then our friend ordered the breakfast quesadilla and was impressed enough to order it the next 3 times we went there. Suffice to say, they do breakfast extremely well! Portions are very generous, so sharing is a definite possibility. The atmosphere is fun, family friendly as well, and service is always fast and friendly. A "must do" when we're on the island
