“Best Food on Sanibel!”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

We are on vacation in Sanibel for two weeks and we've made it a point to try a new restaurant everyday. Timbers was a fantastic dining experience, not only was the food excellent but the atmosphere is very much of what you would except to find on an island in the tropics. For our appetizer we had the Gulf shrimp cocktail and the braised crab cake, which were both very good. I had the fresh Red Snapper grilled with the Mango Sauce. It was delicious, the fish was definitely fresh and the sauce was flavorful. However, I enjoy the taste of the fish and I would advise getting the mango sauce on the side because it does slightly mask the taste of the fish. My wife had the Parmesan encrusted Sea Bass. That was phenomenal, perfect seasoning & large portion. For dessert, we had the chocolate bread pudding and key lime pie. Both, were very delicious. . . the bread pudding hit the spot, especially for chocolate fiends like myself. The key lime pie had a perfect balance between sweet and tart. Lastly, our waitress Coquina was great. Not only did she have a great attitude but was very friendly and had good advice on the menu items. I would definitely visit this place again before we leave and whenever we return. I highly recommend Timbers as a must visit if your staying on Sanibel!

“Great fish. Lovely restaurant”
Reviewed August 5, 2013 via mobile

We chose Timbers for our last night and were not disappointed. The Oysters were superb as was the choice of fresh fish. The desserts looked good toi but we were already full.

“Get the 13 for 13!”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

If you get to Timbers during the earlybird hours, be sure to ask for the "13 for 13" menu! It is the best value on the island! Quality entreees, including bread, soup/salad/sides, for only $13. Not only that, but the service is impeccably courteous, even if you are ordering from the cheapskate menu. We fed our family of 5 (including a very hungry son-in-law) for less than $75, excluding a generous and well-deserved tip.

“Bar None Best Seafood anywhere.”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

We chose this place over all others on this Island because of it's reputation. We were not dissappointed. From the moment we got there we were greeted by a smiling face and the excellent service was just the start. I had the Seafood Platter which was to die for and my Wife had the King Crab legs, a little pricey but well worth it. The appetizer wasd the freshest and best Calamari I have had in a while. The Salads were great and the Entrees were phenomenal. Wish we had one close by. Would definately recommend and go again and again.
