Quick and friendly service, we had a Burger and a Cesar salad, both came up quickly and tasted very good. They offer a good choice of domestic brews from the tap which are very reasonably priced.

We were so grateful to have a place still serving dinner when we arrived at almost 10 p.m. The conch chowder was yummy, the ceasar salad was huge, and the Stella was nice and cold. Ahhhh.

The restaurants of Sanibel have a captive audience, and the Lazy Flamingo sits in the middle. It is primarily a drinking place with OK bar food. We had a good smoked fish (salmon) appetizer with excellent tartar sauce, but it sat on a very sad lettuce leaf (served with saltines). The Conch fritters were OK, but the chili flavored Ketchup did them no good. The Caesar salad was awash in gritty dressings flavored mostly with garlic granules. Evil. We left most of it on its ugly plastic plate. Beer was cold and cheap. At night this place is a mob scene.

The sevice isn't much to get excited about and the atmosphere is a typical bar (sports on multiple tvs and nothing close to a dress code) but the food was a delicious surprise. Recommended to us as a great meal at a very reasonable price, we wondered what we had stumbled into when we we saw the existing patrons and we were greated with Happy Hour pitchers at $6...so glad we stayed! Staff are pleasent enough, but the real standout is the cook - order the grilled grouper and you won't be disappponted! If you can get past the less-than-fancy atmosphere, you'll enjoy a top notch meal for a very reasonable price.
