Description: Since opening in 2013, The Sandbar has become known for its incredibly fresh seafood and choice cuts of beef and pork. We take great pride in having the best service staff on the islands. Check out the reviews or come in and find out for yourself!

The server was pleasant and helpful, but the food was simply underwhelming. That's ok, though, because we were there for lunch and not expecting more than that. I had a grilled chicken sandwich that was dry. My husband had the clam chowder, which was fine, and a Ceasar salad. Others had burgers and they were fine, too. The waitress recommended a margarita made with agave. It was smooth and tasty, but for $9 a drink (and more than any of the sandwiches), overpriced. I imagine there are better places to eat standard fare at the same price. There is no view, so for mediocre food, you might consider another option for lunch.

Our family of four went for dinner at The Sandbar. We got there around 6:45 and surprisingly there was no wait. Our server, Jaclyn, was very good. She suggested the shrimp special and it was very good. Both of our sons had steak - one was very, very pink even though he had ordered medium. It was more rare but he said the flavor was good. My husband had the clam chowder and he really enjoyed it.
We will go back the next time we are in Sanibel.

Great food, cooked to perfection! Red snapper came out hot but not over cooked. The scallops were excellent especially the coconut rum sauce. Key lime pie was delicious! Our waitress Jacqueline was friendly and very helpful, the food came out very quickly and the margaritas were yummy!

Excellent quality and reasonable prices, especially for Sanibel. We treasure the happy hour, currently held 3 PM - 5PM, Monday through Friday. This allows for many delicious items for five dollars each, including Boom Boom shrimp, chicken quesadilla, peel and eat shrimp and a side salad. Drink prices are also reduced, and of good quality. Deserts are large and, I believe, home made. Burgers and clams also available for slightly higher prices. I must admit, we have not yet eaten off the regular menu, but it is popular with the locals and visitors. The happy hour bar menu is too good to pass up; we have tried it at least a dozen times, with no regrets. If you get the Boom Boom lightly fried shrimp, ask for the sauce on the side, it is rather spicy, like Bang Bang shrimp from Bonefish, only better. No waterfront view, but the atmosphere is very comfortable.

Yummy meals and nice waitstaff. There were 4 in our party and we all had something different and each of us enjoyed our meals. Well worth a visit.
