“Tucked off beaten path”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

This colorful spot is just off Periwinkle across from CVS, but worth the search. It is a bakery-eatery with good, but pricey food. We had breakfast and it was over $25. Delicious eggs and hash browns, juice and bagels. Artistic walls with manatees and mermaids.

“Vegan lunch”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

It is always difficult to eat out when you are a vegan. Rosie's had an excellent Veggie Sandwich - artichoke hearts, banana peppers, mushrooms, and other assorted vegetables. You can choose your bread - I opted for the spinach wrap. Came with a side of fresh fruit. And with a glass of iced tea came to less than $12, which is very reasonable for Sanibel. Sitting outside at one of their tables in the sun (which has been absent this winter), was so enjoyable. I will definitely return for some of their other vegetable offerings.

“Yummy!”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

Hubby and I stopped in for a light lunch. Hubby was drawn to the desserts, and I was drawn to anything seafood. He ended up getting their fresh home-cut fries and I got the seafood bisque. He followed up his carb-load with a piece of their chocolate cake (OK, I admit I had a couple bites, too!). The bisque was delicious! Big chunks of crab and lobster in a perfect cream base. It's a little out of the way, but worth looking for. They also have a brisk ice cream business, but the chocolate cake caught hubby's eye first.

“Best Breakfast in Sanibel”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

Even though the restaurant was extremely busy with bikers the morning we stopped, we still had great service. The breakfast was fresh and the bread was fantastic. Our entire group agreed it was the best breakfast we had on the island.

“Excellent Breakfast!”
Reviewed January 14, 2014 via mobile

A welcome addition to the island breakfast scene. Almost empty on a Tuesday morning, but the waitress was charming, helpful, and upbeat, offering to add honey roasted pecans to my wife's banana pancakes (no up charge) which were huge and delicious, and providing me with several cheese choices for a delicious, large cheese omelet (chose cheddar, and it was good, "real" cheese). Even the hash browns and toast were well-prepared and tasty.

Can't comment on lunches or dinners or the complaints about staffing as we were the only diners, but the breakfast food was excellent, definitely as good as the other island "regular" breakfast spots (Over Easy, Sanibel Cafe, And The Lighthouse).

Would recommend this to a friend and I hope they make a go of it at their new location.
