We have followed JoAnn and Irving since they bought and beautifully managed Rosie's Deli on the east end of Sanibel Island. What a treat for the locals and visitors that they are now operating Rosie's Cafe on Palm Ridge ~ fun atmosphere, great food, reasonable prices and friendly staff - you walk in the door and are immediately welcomed. Do yourself a favor and visit Rosie's today for breakfast, lunch, Happy Hour or dinner!

I've chased around Sanibel for 6 years looking for the perfect grouper sandwich. Finally found it at Rosie's. Huge, tasty, and not at all greasy for a deep fried crispy grouper sandwich. The service was excellent. Nice island atmosphere. Not fancy. Reasonable prices. Try it. You'll like it.

I live on Sanibel and finding reasonable prices for dinner or lunch is a challenge. Rosie's is consistently good food at fair prices. Not a fancy spot, but as a local it's the perfect spot for dinner when cooking isn't on my agenda. Have had breakfast lunch and dinner....all good. Casual atmosphere...

Our first visit was lunch, it was great. Our second visit was for breakfast and here the trouble begins. The sign said "closed" but there were 2 guys out front on a bench. We asked if it was open and they said yes, opened the door and yelled to "Irving" that he hadn't changed the sign. We were seated and ordered coffee. After the longest time Irving brought us coffee and apologized that he was the only one who had shown up for work. He left the coffees, cream and sugar and nothing to stir them with. When he finally returned to take our order we asked for spoons. He brought the food out and it was fine. We were the only people in the restaurant.

Our next visit was breakfast again, and nothing unusual happened except it was extremely slow, we were the only 4 people in the restaurant and the 2 employees we could see spent ALL of their time fooling with their mobile devices at the bar area where singles would eat breakfast. If there were any more people than the 4 of us it would have taken hours to get our meals. How long does it take for toast and scrambled eggs.

I asked Irving about your morning & he was sure he let you know we were not open until 8am, but decided to prepare breakfast for your group before our kitchen employees arrived. Yes, you're right, he did " Need some Help." And, thank you for letting us know about our texters...they have been warned. We will do our best to make your next visit a more prepared one.

Planned to go to Over Easy Cafe for breakfast, but when we discovered a 40 minute wait, we found Rosie's. Glad we did. Breakfast menu is limited to the basics, but the omelets were excellent, the potatoes perfectly cooked and the cinnamon roll was to die for. The muffins are made fresh every day and quite tasty. Highly recommend Rosie's for breakfast. The staff is very friendly as well.
