I have always loved Bowman's Beach--ever since I was in college in the late 70s, early 80s and was introduced by one of my best friends who lived on the island. The shells in the early morning are amazing and the fact that there are no houses nearby makes it seem very natural and uncrowded. It can get busy later in the morning and afternoon, but you can always find a little slice of beach to call your own. Body surfing there is great as well. The only little downside is the $2 per hour fee to park (it used to be free years back).
