This is a condo complex first and foremost, and a botanical gardens thrown in. Yes, it is a certified botanical garden, but still, it really is a condo complex. The advertising said NOTHING about this being in a condo complex, so I felt a little cheated after driving all the way from the other end of Estero Island, going through quite a traffic jam, and paying to cross the bridge. So please keep this in mind when you come here! The place was truly beautifully landscaped, but I must confess that I was disappointed at first since it does not feel like a real botanical gardens. I also felt bad for all of the guests paying to stay there - that must have been annoying having random people roaming the grounds looking at flowers. Anyway, all that said, they really did have gorgeous plants. There were dozens of varieties of hibiscus flowers blooming while we were there, and that was really cool. I suppose it was worth the $5. It might be nice to pack a picnic lunch and bring a blanket and sit out on the beach by the complex for lunch. That might have made it worth it.
