The rooms are very clean and properly manged. All necessary items are there and the service personal is taking care and is very friendly!
Our room has a fully equipped kitchen and there was enough space for 2 adults and one child.
The hotel has a good pool, with deck chairs and a pool bar. The hotel is directly at the long beach from Sanibel. On this beach you have to search for sea shells!
Restaurants are the near area.

Room Tip: From the rooms on the first floor you can go directly via the balcony to the pool, from the rooms on...

We were married here in 2009, and have continued to stay at the West Wind Inn every time we visit Sanibel. We had a couple of issues in the beginning of our 10 night stay, but it was resolved with no other issues the rest of our stay. The location is the best on the island for shelling. The pool bar has great food, we go most days for lunch. (Mark is an excellent bartender). FYI - beach chairs and an umbrella cost $20 per day, and you need to reserve them at the front desk.

This was a delightful little inn with a beautiful, quiet location! The guest rooms are newly renovated. The beds are comfortable and towels large and fluffy! Throughout the property, it is obvious that service is a number on priority. Housekeeping would clean our room every morning while we were at breakfast. Do not miss the restaurant! It is more like a European Inn than a hotel restaurant. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. We are definitely recommending it to anyone headed to the area!

My husband and I only spent one night here. We did not have reservations but was lucky to get a room as a walk in. We were in room 107. Partial view of the ocean. Liked the screened in porch. We had king bed, matress was just ok. We were close to the beach.Room equiped with complete kitchen. Room was clean. This Inn would be great for a quiet get a way,if you want to bring your own food and just rest and enjoy the beach. As other guests have mentioned not enough beach chairs ;bring your own.

This was our 4th time at West Wind Inn and it is just as good as it was first time around.
The rooms are good, my wife and I prefer the second floor, and the beds are most comfortable.
The facilities include good sized swimming pool, pool-bar serving drinks and lunch, plenty of clean towels available, right next to the beach, business centre, wi-fi, 2 shuffle board courts and plenty of parking spaces. Reception staff were great, especially Kim!
The location is ideal for couples and families alike.
When my wife and I were there, the Inn's Normandie restaurant, although open for breakfast every day, was only open for Dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. However, the food and service is terrific.
You'll have a great time there should you decide to visit Sanibel Island.

Room Tip: Choose the 2nd floor if you can carry your cases up 1 flight of stairs, otherwise the ground floor i...

Gerry helped when I made reservations. She was very pleasant and helpful. At check in, we were given a few tips, literature about the island with a bag for collecting shells on the beach, a nice touch.

We truly enjoyed our visit here. The accommodations were sufficient. Some things were a bit dated but other things made it show pretty well. The bed was not plush but not uncomfortable, either. All the staff were very friendly.

Our room had a king bed, microwave, and small refrigerator. The cabinet had wine glasses, microwave popcorn and a couple of things that came in handy. Other rooms had complete kitchens, if you need that ro plan to stay longer. We came for only 2 nights.

The balcony overlooked the ocean, actually a very nice view. We had room 205. Any room would have only a short walk to the beach, however and most everyone spent some time there. The pool was nice also. We had no complaints.

My only frustration came when we wanted to rent a beach umbrella and chairs. Yes, it was Saturday but they had none left. With 30-40 rooms, I am guessing here, I saw only 11 umbrellas on the beach. It seems they should have about twice that many.

Sunsets and shelling are fantastic here and we had a great time on the island.

Room Tip: When making reservations, tell the staff what you are wanting so they can recommend a room with the...
