Great little place, we got a room facing the Gulf and enjoyed the view every morning with a cup of coffee on the balcony, before going out to the beach. The attendant set up the lounge chairs with a large umbrella on the beach as I watched my wife look for shells. Lots and lots of shells. The sand is white and not hot. Easy to find as it is at the end of the causeway. I will be returning.

Room Tip: The "Periwinkle" building is at the end and quiet and has nice views.

Good amenities,(tiki bar and restaurant). Older hotel but renovated nicely. Very short walk to quiet beach. Beach umbrellas, lounge chairs and Bikes included. Great service and clean.
Wish I could find hotels with two pools, one for adults and one for the children.

This was the first stop on our no-frills honeymoon, and a great choice for the money. The basic rooms are nothing to shout about, but they have these comfortable screened-in porches that are perfect for relaxing with a (complimentary) NY Times, and morning coffee. We were aiming to spend our days outside, and the beach-side location, decent pool, and free bike and kayak rentals were extremely convenient.

Great location to discover sanibel
Ocean views rooms are nice and large, the beach is beautiful
This hotel could be a paradise with a little bit of update (bathrooms for exemple, also Tiki bar needs new tables and chairs and some paints and that would be perfect )
Prices are not cheap for a room and a very short stay between a check in at 4 pm and a check out at 11 am with staff knocking at 10 : 30 to clean the room,
But we really liked it ,Thanks for this nice stay on the beach

We live in Fort Myers and needed a getaway....we stayed for 3 days at the Sanibel Inn. The room was great, clean and new with a great view. We stayed on the second floor beach front! This was off season so we did not expect everything would be open...the only suggestions would be: Raise the level of customer excellence by....making sure all beach chairs and umbrellas are plentiful and ready for guests...have them set up on the beach! The pool bar is very uncomfortable, seats were too high.....I would have liked to "hang out" there but instead we ventured off to other local hotels for happy hour(s)....We would recommend but I am looking for that customer service experience to bring me back.....

Room Tip: Dolphin Building, Beach Front, 2nd Floor

Everyone at the Inn was extremely nice and helpful. The front desk staff held our bags since we arrived before check in, and we were able to hit the tiki bar and use the bikes to run to the store before our room was ready.

The guys at the tiki bar were great, special shout out to Tommy and Brian. They were so nice. When we ran through a few of the frozen drinks on the menu and then Brian created some new ones for us, which were also great. Those boys need some cooler shirts though, it gets pretty hot behind that bar. We also ordered food from the bar several times, which was good. The guacamole is pretty good. Met lots of nice locals at the tiki also, great times.

The pool area is very nice, restrooms right next to it, so you don't have to venture far.

There's a hut by the pool where you can use the bikes and get towels for the beach. This is very nice when our traveling carry on only. The man at the hut also takes care of the beach chairs and umbrellas, he is very accommodating, if all are taken at the beach he's more than happy to set you up.

We had no trouble getting extra towels in our room, or having room service change out our sheets if requested. The front desk also called us a cab a few times, all requests were handled beautifully by staff.

We only ate breakfast at the restaurant twice, it was reasonably priced and good for breakfast. It's nice to not have to leave the resort if you don't want to.

Our room was a second floor ocean front, we had a great view. The patio is lovely, with insect screens, which is great. Our room was very clean and updated. The beds were very comfortable, the best hotel bed I've slept in.

I will defiantly stay here again when we go back, just lovely. We had a great time.

Room Tip: A second floor ocean front give you a nice elevated view of the gulf. Not sure if the first floor ca...
