“Wonderful place to learn”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

We took our three boys here and they loved it. Got their badges and learned an awful lot. Unfortuantly the main road is closed right now but you can still visit the center (for FREE) and tarpon bay. Worth the time!

“Beautiful facility”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

The facility is beautiful here and the staff very helpful. Unfortunately the tram was closed due to the repaving of the road. Well maybe next time.

“Nice family activity”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

On our recent trip to Sanibel the drive was closed for the summer as they are repairing the road. We went into the free Nature Center where there are some hands on exhibits, a gift shop, and nature talk classes, we were lucky enough to be there in time for the talk about manatee's. Even though the road nature drive is closed they have a list in the Nature Center of all the other things Ding Darling has going on at the center itself, along with other nature walks, bike rides, kayak trips, etc. going on around the island.

We were able to do the drive last year and it was nice. So whether you are able to go down the drive or stop in the Nature Center it is worth going, and remember if you pay the small fee for the drive or buy something in the gift shop, you are helping with the great conservation efforts of Ding Darling.

“Baileys Tract Guided Excursion”
Reviewed July 16, 2013 via mobile

Awesome excursion free of charge and provided by the J. N. Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge. Our naturalist guide Jeremy was very informative and extremely friendly. Highly recommend. The total excursion was 1 hour and make sure to take water!
