“Rusty brown lighthouse at the end of a sand road wow”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

Nothing like the great lighthouses of North Carolina, Its average height, rusty brown, and at the end of a sand road. Thats about it. There is a historic marker at the bottom of the lighthouse. Restrooms and bike parking.

great place for sightseeing, pictures and a glass of wine at dusk. Romantic and very clean. Restrooms within walking distance and not overly crowded.

“Pretty average”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

Not much to see here folks. Beaches around are good. Took a few pictures but there are nicer lighthouses to go up in in other areas.

“Unusual little lighthouse”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

The most unusual lighthouse I have ever seen. Not the most photogenic, but, still interesting! It is nice to look at the "end of the island."

“lighthouse and the fishing pier”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

it is a nice area to visit and take a stroll. stay away during weekend days. too crowded and occupied by loud people. during the week day you can walk here via the beach and take a walk back to your hotel. really pretty.
