“Thrilling Boat Ride!”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

We saw about 50 dolphins in our wake. People in the back seats of the boat could all but touch them. The tour guide gives history of Sanibel, Captiva, and the surrounding islands, as well as information about the dolphins. It was worth every penny and then some! If you're in that area, Fort Myers, Sanibel or Captiva, it is a must do! We did this on our last day here and it was a great way to end our vacation.

“A Definite Highlight of our Trip!”
Reviewed January 24, 2013 via mobile

We went on the Sanibel Thriller on January 7th. It was a highlight for our family! We read the reviews prior to arriving so we knew we had to get there early to get the back seat. We arrived 1 1/2 hours early. And it was so worth it!

The captain found six pods of dolphins throughout the two hour trip. We estimated that we saw 50 dolphins. You are so close to the dolphins that you can almost reach out and touch them! Our daughters are 6 and 12 and loved this experience! You are able to take great pictures and video from the back seat. You need to know though that you will get wet. My daughter and I sat on the right side of the boat and we were drenched by the time we got back. It was worth it though!

Besides the dolphins (not that you need more), the guided narration was excellent. You learn the history of the islands and the incredible real estate.

I highly recommend this excursion! I don't think you will be disappointed.

“Believe the hype!”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

It was very thrilling. We saw dolphins on 3 separate occasions. Everyone who worked there was very nice. The narration was interesting. You'll get great pictures and video. We sat in the back seat and loved it. We stopped at a deli, got some sandwiches and sat on the shade provided benches eating our lunch while we waited for the excursion. We were first there so we had our pick of location on the boat. It was a beautiful day, warm and sunny. Much more rewarding than hunting for shells on the beach.

“Brilliant dolphin-tour”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

Excellently narrated tour in a comfortable speedboat with a captain who found dolphins in four sepearte places. They follow in the wake of the boat and put on a great show jumoing. Best place is in the back, bring a jacket and photo/video-equipment. That you learn a lot about Sanibel und Capitva and the history of those islands is a added bonus. Great for kids.

“Loved it!! An absolute must do!”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

We made reservations on our second last day (reservations are a must if you want to be sure of a seat) and the trip wasn't just informative and interesting, it was amazing!

Our guide, Amy, shared fun real estate and historical facts about the island while our captain, JR, toured us around the islands in search of dolphins and dolphins we did find! It was amazing; the entire tone of the boat changed at first sight of the dolphin pods -- you heard me, pods!! Our captain found three different pods of dolphins who happily came up to the Thriller and played in her wake.

For those of you who dream of seeing wild dolphins, this is the best $42.00 (per adult) you'll ever spend. It was supposed to be a 90 minute tour, but the captain happily let the dolphins play in our wake until they were tired and only when they were finished did he head back to the Marina. This is truly an adventure worth exploring!
