“so very basic amongst upscale condos”

This is a bare bones condo. I can say this as I have stayed in 3 other condos on this property on 6 different occasions. We had a number of issues right off the bat. One lamp was broken and another had a burned out bulb. The stove was not level and my husband had to take the batteries out of his camera and use his spares to replace the batteries in the remotes for the LR TV. The master tub's caulking was coming undone and mold was growing. (Most other masters have a walk in shower - this has not been upgraded). The stopper for the Mbath sink did not work. The furniture is 'tired' and faded. The cushions are worn out. The chair has crud on the arm- black so it is most noticeable. The table on the deck/porch is way to big for the area and leaves little room to walk around let alone seat 4 comfortably.
The kitchen is fairly well equipped but there is stuff lacking and that starts with only one dull paring knife but it has long knives galore.
The Master bed was comfortable but the furniture in bedroom is mismatched. There are no stools for the hop-up counter in the dining room.
The walls are pretty vacant as to decoration.... as I have said really bare bones. They have spared every expense!
VIP rentals said the contract says no condiments etc but I read it more than once and it says nothing about bringing your own salt etc. Other units we have rented have had salt/pepper and spices, + sugar packets. There are no beach toys/shell toting/catching items.
There is only one ceiling fan and that is in the kitchen. Other units have had them in the MB, the porch, the LR/DR 3-4 total not just one.
While there, the phone rang a number of times with wrong numbers, something we have never had before.
I would recommend if you rent at Pointe Santo in Sept/Oct time frame, find out what kind of maintenance work is going on - we had lots of noise from the landscapers cutting down palm branches and coconuts and all the debris ended up in the parking spaces. - this is not the fault of the owner nor his/her agent, VIP rentals but they should be aware and advise accordingly.
We rented here as we have stayed in the building before but we could have and should have rented another unit. We made the mistake of assuming it would be a class A unit like the others we have rented. Others on the 2nd & 3rd floor were the same money or less with a better looks and furniture. We did talk to other folks.

We are quite concerned that our guest was not happy with his accommodations at Pointe Santo B-34. Our goal as a property manager is for all our guests to be happy campers and should they encounter a problem we are here to rectify that problem promptly and to the satisfaction of our guest. The Guest did report the refrigerator and lamp and we responded and rectified the issue immediately.

The condominium is a privately owned unit. This owner is aware that the unit needs a few upgrades. The Owner will be here this year and address the furnishing issues. Again we are sorry this guest’s stay was not all it could have been. We are certain that this renter will be happy with the improvements next time they are here.
