This is our seventh time staying at this small charming hotel right on the beach. The room faced the ocean with screened porch so bugs were never an issue. The staff has always gone " the extra mile " to make sure everything is perfect if possible. Wifi worked fine in the rooms and they finally updated the TV's to 42 inch LCD screens. We'll be back next year.

Stayed in May to go Tarpon fishing! Though it was a little bit of a drive to get to our charter it was worth it! The rooms are clean and quite. We were on the second floor so had a great view of the beach from our room and balcony. Nice little kitchenette in the room too! The breakfast baskets each morning were SO appreciated! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Free bicycles for guests - the bike trails on Sanibel are AWESOME! You can go anywhere on the island on a bike! We plan on returning for another fishing trip soon and will DEFINATELY stay at Seaside Inn - we loved it!

Room Tip: Second floor facing the gulf - great view!

The Seaside Inn is one of a group of inns on Sanibel called the Sanibel Collection. We've stayed at two others, and this is our favorite. Try to get a Gulf Front room on the first floor. There are 8 Gulf Front rooms, four on the first floor and four on the second. All have screened porches with great ocean views. From the first floor porches you are just steps from the beach. Bikes are available for free.

Room Tip: first floor Gulf Front

First, the positives. The location of this place is perfect, right on the beach. They provide beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas, which is great. They also provide free bicycles to go around the island and we found this to be a lot of fun. The staff is nice and attentive, rooms are clean, the free wi-fi works pretty well and overall it was a pleasant stay.

My main complaint was the noise level. We were in a downstairs unit and it was extremely loud. You could hear absolutely everything both in the room upstairs and next door. The staircase was nearby too, which didn't help. Because of the wooden structure outside, every time anyone walked by with a rolling suitcase or the maids with their carts, it was super loud as well. So don't come here expecting quiet. Another minor complaint was the beds. They were too soft and not comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was too weak so it would take forever to rinse off.

Finally, although the breakfast basket was much appreciated and it was very nice to be able to eat at any time without having to stick to "breakfast hours" like in most places, after 3 days it got a bit repetitive to have the same exact items in the basket. It would be great if they could rotate things a little to add variety for people who stay longer that a couple of days.

On our quick road trip through Florida, we generally spent 2 nights at each spot. We found hotels as we arrived and that worked out fine for our late September early October trip. We decided that we really wanted to be beach-side whenever possible. We found another name brand hotel, but it was 2 blocks from the beach. Our GPS helped us find Seaside Inn and while a small hotel, the manager invited us to check the rooms and they were really nicer than expected, professionally decorated in yellows and whites as in a boutique hotel. We took the room and enjoyed a quick swim then walked to the beach in front of the hotel and it was like a postcard. Good Wifi access, Fridge & microwave, great beds, quiet, secluded, great shampoos & soaps, the the little things you don't expect, but proves they went the extra mile. At $168/night could not of been more perfect. Small hotels can compete with the big names and maybe do it better. Recommend highly.

Room Tip: Upper floor was great overlooking the pool.

Perfect location, friendly staff, heated pool and free bicycle rental. Perfect for a quiet girls weekend getaway. This was my first time in Sanibel and when I return I will definitely stay at the Seaside Inn again. Our room faced the Gulf and we loved the screened porch to keep the bugs out. Staff was helpful and gave great restaurant recommendations as well.

Room Tip: Beach view rooms are definitely worth the extra $$!

Well I would like to start off with "I Love Sanibel Island" if you love the beach, like to bike ride, enjoy fishing, and can't get enough sun, this is the place for you. My husband and I rode our bikes everywhere, to the pier, grocery store, coffee in the morning, dinner and everywhere else..The Seaside Inn is a quaint 2 story inn that is clean and right on the beach and It has a heated pool. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are available at the pool and beach. Bikes are free of charge. Location is perfect and quiet. It is close to the fishing pier and light house which you can get to with a walk down the beach or a ride on your bike. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We just left and already planning for next year!!

Room Tip: The Ocean View is well worth the upgrade.
