“Fun Place, Good Food”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

I have been to Sanibel Grill on two different trips to the area and have been very pleased both times. The food is really good and they have a nice variety to choose from on their menu. My teenage sons enjoy the atmosphere and "hockey" game they have in the corner. All family members on vacation (2 years to 70 years) enjoyed their dining experience and will visit there each time we vacation in the area.

“Good food, good prices, a good bet”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

We have been fans of The Timbers restuaruant for all the years we've been visiting Sanibel. However, a little tired of the prices for a dinner for four (two adults and two older boys), we decided to try The Timbers' sister restaurant, Sanibel Grill. We were pleased that Sanibel Grill offered our favorite dishes from The Timbers, especially the crunchy grouper, which became our family favotire this trip. The best part was that we could eat our favorites for a few dollars less. We liked the casual, sports-bar atmosphere of Sanibel Grill, and the energy on a Thursday night! The service was warm and friendly, and we had plenty to eat. Not the finer-dining experience of The TImbers, but a good bet overall.

“Dine and drink with the locals!”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

This bar has a great atmosphere, owner (Matt) is frequently presnt to oversee operations. Food choices are excellent, and drinks prices reasonable. We had several apps-skins, spring rolls, pizza and all were tasty. Have sat at the bar and at booths surrounding it. Very clean and professional servers/bartenders, you can order off rhe dinner menu fom th sister restaurant next door-Timbers if you wish. You can call ahead for booths on busy noghts (30 minutes).

“Expected More”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

We visited the Sanibel Grill on a busy Friday night, so it could have been our timing. Service was VERYslow and food was average at best. We ordered the rock lobster (dry and very chewy) with what appeared to be instant potatoes (because they were runny) and very overdone and soggy vegetables. The spinach dip was a bit odd with sour cream and bacon on top because it overpowered the cheesy flavor we expected to be there. My daughter disliked her burger so much she sent it back --- something she has never done before in her life. I know a lot of people love this place so I guess I wouldn't discount it, and as mentioned, it might have been our timing, but we won't be in a hurry to go there again.
