Spent 2 nights at this property December 1 & 2, 2006, before heading south to our Disney-area timeshare for a week.

Arrived after 10pm for check-in and were promptly buzzed in the door and check-in was very smooth and fast. This property is completely non-smoking, which was a plus for us...didn't have to worry about the dreaded, "we don't have any non-smoking rooms left" sentence when checking in late. :)

Hotel seems to have been recently rennovated...rooms are very clean and nice! Carpet very soft and not the lame looking, thin carpet I've become accustomed to when traveling on business trips...very plush feel to feet in socks. Paint was fresh, nice earthtones rather than the typical white walls. Sink area completely separate from tub/shower and toilet area. Sofa folds out into a queen-sized bed. Marble-topped "bar" sink and counter in one corner of suite (also a non-stocked fridge). Desk with ethernet (wired network/internet) port adjacent to the bar/sink.

Downsides as follows: Pool area was very nice and clean (don't see a lot of 6ft deep ends any more!), BUT the water was frigid, despite claims by the staff that it is heated. It also reeked of chlorine. Spa was WAY too hot, though it didn't feel too bad if you spent enough time in the pool to get numbed up and then jumped into the hot tub to defrost. Other downside is that the internet connection, even though it's a wired connection (as opposed to wireless) is not at all reliable! Kept losing internet connectivity with no warning and it seemed to happen every couple of minutes, no matter what we were doing (downloads, surfing, watching video, etc.).

All in all, very happy we stayed here. Location is great for eating out and shopping...lots of restaurants very nearby and several shopping destinations (including a mall) equally close by.

Convenient to Orlando attractions. Stayed three nights over a long weekend. Room, personnel, breakfast were superb. Only negative during our stay was a large group attending a youth league baseball tournament. Some of the "adults" (parents and coaches NOT the kids) were making noise in the hallways late at night. The pool closes too early. Overall a good experience.

We stayed here for a week in April 19-26, 2006. The first few days were quiet, then a bunch of school kids came in over the weekend and it was noisy. But after they left it was quiet again! Breakfasts are really good, cereals, oatmeal, waffles, breads, pastries, muffins, eggs, sausage, yogurts! and fresh baked cookies every afternoon! Housekeeping is very thorough. The rooms have a lot of room inside, living room with workspace and a mini-kitchen with microwave & mini-refrigerator and a sink!
The bathrooms are very roomy. Beds are comfortable. Only complaint I had was that our room curtains wouldn't close so my sleep was interrupted by parking lot lights.
The pool and jacuzzi were nice, there's also an exercise room. Great location to get on the freeway.
We travelled to Disneyworld twice, it took us approximately 1 hr drive each way.
The staff at this hotel is the best!
They have a lot of amenities! (Including free laundry)

Stayed at this hotel in August..As a Marriott Rewards Platinum Elite member I expected a certain level of care. I used 50,000 of my precious reward points for a 6 night stay here. Boy, oh boy do I wish I could have ALL of my points back..We had 2 adults and 2 teen boys and were advised that we would all be quite comfortable in a 2 queen bed room..The room was as tight as a closet. We had a small walking area from the door to the beds and could barely turn around in this tiny cramped room. The "queen beds" were more like two "twin" beds put together. The bed could barely hold one adult let alone two. The room only had a shower stall, no tub. There was black mold in the ceiling of the bathroom area. The bathroom door was about to fall off, the refrigerator did not have bars on the doors so everytime you open the fridge all of your "goodies" would fall off onto the floor. The pull out sofa was broken and the springs had been bent so our nephew couldn't sleep there. Horrible room!...When I complained we were switched to a "handicap" room because those are the only rooms in the hotel that might be bigger..Much bigger indeed and quite more comfortable..ASK FOR A HANDICAP ROOM!

Breakfast- Hard boiled eggs, Sausage patties, Waffles, Fruit, Yogurt, English muffins, Bagels, Toast, cereal...Pretty good!

Housekeeping- Pretty Good

Hotel Staff- "Fonda" very nice lady, the rest of the front desk staff lacks great customer service skills especially "Nancy..."

Would we stay here again- NO!

If you are traveling with children, this is a good place to stay. Free breakfast in the morning from 6~10AM and the selection is good (don't have to worry about packing up the kids and traveling around trying to find a breakfast spot).

If you are traveling alone..think twice. My son is a year old and all these older children were runing up & down the corridor like crazy. Fortunately, during his naptime this did not distube him, but if you are traveling solo or w/out children, you may not be so tolerant (especially if you've never had kids)...I remember those days.

My biggest complaint...housekeeping. The sheets did not feel cleaned so I requested fresh linens and made the bed myself. I also had to delay housekeeping until after lunch. Personnally informed the housekeeping Supervisor in the hallway and the front desk personal. When I return (after 9pm) they only changed the towels and emptied the garbage. The bed wasn't even made, and the coffee pot wasn't even cleaned. It still had stale coffee from that morning.

Maybe it was a bad incident this Memorial w/end with kids running up & down the hallway, alot of people staying because of the holidays, and the terrible housekeeping. But I must admit, I need to review other 'reviews' to see improvements before I book a return stay. Hopefully for business travelers during the week, they have a better experience.

I recently stayed at the Spring Hill Suites during a business trip and was pleasantly surprised by the facility. The hotel is very clean and my room had no stains on the carpet. There is a little seating area and a separate office area (with FREE high-speed internet connection -the hotel will supply an Ethernet cord if needed). The office space is shared with a small kitchen sink area that includes a microwave and a small fridge. The tub and toilet is separate from the bathroom sink, which is nice if you are sharing the room. There is also a gym in the hotel... it only has three machines (bike, step, and a treadmill). However, the hotel offers free gym pass to the local World's Gym. The Breakfast is decent and better than most hotels in this class. They had waffles, eggs, oatmeal, etc.

There are a few good restaurants next door (i.e. Cracker Barrel and Don Pablo's)… more than usually in these small towns I guess the only draw back was the exit to the hotel traveling east is hard to find. The exit is about 1/2 mile or more before the actual exit... so you travel on this side road (still part of the highway) before you can get off. We kept missing the exit and having to double back (it is an easier exit from the west). Getting on the highway is easy.

For those of you not traveling for business, the hotel sits right next door to mall and other shops (i.e. Old Navy, etc). Downtown Mt Dora is only about 20 minutes away.

I definitely will be staying here again...
