“Don't forget the AAA discount!”
Reviewed May 11, 2013 via mobile

We have been to MANY zoos so I may have been expecting too much of this small zoo. The employees were very nice and it was relatively clean, however we were done in a little over an hour. For the price of $15 each I guess we were thinking there would be a little more to see. There were a few larger animals, a rhino, a cougar and some leopards, but most of the animals were birds etc.

There is a cute little water splash park included in the price of admission if its warm enough as well as a tiny petting zoo of a couple of animals and a small playground that is shaded. You can pay extra to do a ropes/zip line course right outside the gates of the zoo.

The AAA discount wasn't advertised but saved us 20 percent... It never hurts to ask!

Thank you for visiting the Zoo! You are correct, we are a smaller Zoo than some others across the country but we also keep our prices low to match the amount of time it takes to see our Zoo. Most visitors find they spend 2-3 hours to take in everything the Zoo has to offer, more if they take in our partners like ZOOmair and Battlefield Live laser tag.
Being a non-profit, we need every penny we can get at the gate admission so no, we don't advertise all of our discounts. That said, we do offer discounts like AAA and military. We agree, it is always a great idea to ask!
Thanks again for visiting and we hope that when you travels bring you back to Central Florida you'll come see what is NEW at the Zoo!

“Lotsa birds”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

We took out 4 year old grandson to the zoo. There weren't too many animals, but lots of birds in cages. Our grandson loved the playground and the splash park. I would have liked to have seen more animals. We also did the train ride. That would have been nicer if it were longer and through the park, kind of just went around the laser tag area. It was only 6 minutes. The 4 year old loved it, but I wished we could have seen animals. We spent a lot of money to walk around. Will try the Jacksonville zoo next time.

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to write a review of our Zoo. We're sorry to hear you didn't see as many animals as you would have liked. It is true we have some beautiful birds, but we also have plenty of other animals like different kinds of monkeys, several large cats, some incredible reptiles, river otters, and our newest exhibit is a rhino (with a second one coming later in May) just to name a few. As the previous reviewer recommended, the best time to visit to see the most animals is in the morning. That is when they are the most active.
We're glad your grandson had a terrific time and we hope you'll come back to see what's new at the Zoo in the near future!

“Zooventure”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

This place has so much to offer. They have a good assortment of animals, great facilities, a zoom line and a splash park. They also have many educational programs you can particpate in. Local families should get the annual passes and take advantage of this zoo. Remember, for best animal viewing, early morning activity is busy with the animals.... very active. As this zoo continues its growth, it will only get better.

Reviewed April 18, 2013

This is a very nice zoo, it has a lot of animals you and the family would enjoy. Also they have a area where some of the animals have shows for you to enjoy. The staff are friendly and assist to help you understand different animals and where they come from. They are so cute bring your camera.

“Excellent place for familes”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

This zoo is full of unique animals that you may never see at any other zoo. It has everything from greater horned rhinos to clouded leopards. Plus, they have a special staff to take out animals that the guests get to interact with such as snakes and parrots. They also have a beautiful splash park for hot days, a new playground for children, and a train ride.
