Description: With Nearly two decades of restaurant management and menu development experience, Bryce Jarvis knows what a customer expects from a resort restaurant. "I'm passionate about providing a great experience for our customer, and the Sunset Bay Cafe gives me the opportunity to share what I love best about food and Destin, Sandestin, The Beaches of South Walton, and the Emerald Coast with both visitors and locals alike." The Sunset Bay Cafe space has been a number of different restaurants over the years, but Bryce, and his co-owner Gary Jarvis, feel the location needs a locals touch to really make the most out of the views and the ingredients available to the kitchen. As captain of The Backdown 2, Captain Jarvis lends an expert's eye to local and sustainable seafood and fresh ingredients. "Our menu really focuses on the best ingredients available every season, " he says. In addition to classic breakfast favorites like pancakes and waffles, diners will be able to taste some really innovative twists on classics, like Roast Beef Benedict and a fish of the day. Located near the Linkside Conference Center, the restaurant overlooks Choctawhatchee Bay and offers a full bar, outside dining options, a Tiki bar, and "grab and go" options, perfect for the golf course, the pool, or the beach. Holy Cakes, an award winning bakery owned by Bryce's wife Miranda, provides an assortment of muffins and cupcakes daily, and social orders by request. The Sunset Bay Cafe celebrates the spirit of "Old Florida" while encouraging innovative cooking emphasizing fresh, local ingredients.

Went for breakfast/brunch on a Saturday morning. Started with excellent Beignets, great shrimp and fried green tomato Benedict and a spicy omelette. FYI, one has to go through a guard gate for the gated community to get to the restaurant on the water in the conference center.

Will return on our next visit to Destin

Sunset Bay Cafe was not hard to find as others here have suggested. It did require checking through a guarded vehicle gate, but once through there are signs once one nears the restaurant. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor seating is poolside/bayside. The tables could be arranged better for bay views. The breakfast/lunch menu is plenty varied though most dishes are more breakfast than lunch. The food is quite good and reasonably priced, and service is steady.

Began with the peach mimosa which was yummy. Then one of us had the Spicy Pig omelette and I had the Sunset Bay Omelette. Both were excellent. This place is hard to find but worth it!!!

Walking distance from the older Sandestin neighborhoods and no waiting in line like over at Baytowne. Sit outside by the pool overlooking Chocktawhatchee Bay. Service is attentive and breakfast is good at moderate prices.

We had brunch here while in San Destin. We will definitely return. Views were amazing, food was great- they even had gluten free options! Service was outstanding. Its a must visit for us whenever we visit the area.
