“Gulf of Mexico fishing”

Drive down to the Skyway fishing pier either at the north or south ends of The sunshine Skyway Bridge. Bring the whole family and enjoy a great day of fishing and sunshine a small entry fees per carload will give you a great time fishing for sharks, tarpon spanish mackerel, grouper or redfish. Watch the freighters and cruise ships that pass through this area.

“Great place for a walk to stretch your legs before/after flights!”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

My husband and I decided to take in some more Florida sunshine before hopping on a plane home to snow and ice. We paid three dollars for an hour of walking on the Fishing Pier (south end) and enjoyed the sun and pelicans and people fishing. You need to park on the causeway before the pier entrance in order to save the fee for cars. Clean rest rooms in the rest area before the pier.

“Nice Stop”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

We had one day in Tampa and wanted to see the coastline. Traveling South on I 275, this is the first stop when leaving the mainland. It provides very scenic views of the coast before continuing to travel South over the series of bridges.
