Owner description: The largest Farmers Market in the southeast United States, with over 170 vendors rotating through 135 spaces. An extraordinary selection of prepared food, great crafts, plants, flowers, and more. A wonderful selection of produce straight from the farm. Live music every week, and lots of tables to hang out and enjoy a great sense of community. Come see what many people say is the best thing to ever happen in St Petersburg. The Market runs from October - May. The smaller nearby Williams Park Summer Market runs from June - August (9am - 1pm)

We really enjoy going to the Saturday morning market. There are numerous food booths, and arts and crafts. There is fresh Bread, produce, teas, coffees, live plants. They also provide live music all morning. Its a great stroll and there is always something to buy. The only downside to me are the people that insist on bringing large dogs into crowded areas and can't control them. I like dogs but they do not have to be everywhere.
It is a wonderful market.

this market was great in every way! so many different vendors! it was so crowded with almost as many well loved dogs with their owners and that was interesting to see. i highly recommend this sat. morning market. only disappointment was that journeymarkers was not there the weekend i was in st. petersburg. hope next time they have a booth so i can order another journeymarker sign.

We attended the market on 12/24/11 and enjoyed ourselves very much. Unfortunately, as we were leaving we bought produce at the above named stand, a large stand at the southeast corner. By the very next day, an orange, some grapes, and some berries rotted and spoiled the rest of the fruit. The sellers should monitor their merchandise for age and condition.

The Saturday Morning Market has been a staple in St. Pete for years. It runs from late September thru mid-May, avoiding the sweltering summer months. A wide variety of prepared food abounds, from crepes and smoothies to bar-b-q and empanadas. Vendors sell arts and crafts, fresh produce (both organic and not), jewelry, clothing, locally prepared bakery items, jerky and hot sauces. The variety is surprising. You can purchase most everything you need for a gourmet meal, and the dress and jewelry to wear!
Live music is featured with a different band and style each week. We also like that dogs are welcome -- it makes a great outing for the pups.
Walking around the area where the market is located, you will see Al Lang Stadium, the Dali Museum, Albert Whitted Airport, and the beautiful bay waters.

I live in the midwest, where a farmer's market means a bunch of actual farmers bringing the produce from their land to sell at a market. This market is pretty light on the produce/farm products, but there is a great variety of items. There were a handful of produce booths, although some had items like Michigan apples and not just their own fruits and vegetables. There were many prepared foods, popcorn, hand-crafted popsicles, art and craft vendors, etc. It was fun to walk around and see the variety of things for sale, just don't go here expecting to buy your week's worth of home-grown fruits and veggies.
