“Why Do They Want To Move?”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

It's no secret that the Tampa Bay Rays want a new Stadium, and it's no secret that St. Pete wants to keep them at "The Trop"...

Here's my take...Tropicana Field is like a Disney World for young baseball fans.

There is so much for kids to do there, pre and post game...from batting cages, pitching simulators, Baseball Card Photos, the "Rays" touch tank, and so much more! After all, baseball is really for the kids, right?

There is not a bad seat in the house, and the temperature is a constant 72 degrees, even if it's 100 outside.

And let's not forget the fact that S.I. consistantly names Tropicana Field as the "most affordable" venue of ALL professional sports...(NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL...etc.

Sure, the Trop will nrver draw the crowds that a Fenway Park or Yankee Stadium, but look at their demographics and compare them with ours...We're mostly retired down here, while the wages of working people in those cities let them be able to attend games...

All in all, the Trop offers great value for money, and we have a championship contender with the Rays!!!

“Better food choices”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

There are a number of new food vendors this year. 'Burger Up' on the 100 level has the best burger i've ever had at a ball park. Parking can be expensive for the best games. Staff is helpful and courteous. Before or after the game, go to Ferg's. It's next door to the Trop. The official Rays fans hangout.

“Expensive”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

Not the tickets but the food and beer are outrageous. Not in the best section of town. Close by though there are a lot of restaurants and local hangout places that are wonderful

“Watching baseball in total comfort!”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Not only can you watch a game, but enjoy it in total comfort. No need to worry about glare or heat from the sun or a summer afternoon shower. Facilities available for group events too.
