We used our own canoe there to paddle through the trails and had a great time. Lots of birds to see and several fish. Bring plenty of sunblock.

we went for a class about reptiles and my neices and nephew learned a lot from the presenter. The facility has a neat walk through section teaching the history of the area and is very well maintained. The preserve itself is expansive and has opportunitis for photos and wild-life encounters.

we were first into the water on a beautiful morning.
Each pond area we came to on the well marked water trail had birds waking up for the day, being a part of their morning increased our joy in this natural area.

When we visited this preserve, we expected more than we saw. It was very hot, not much shade and a lot of sand and water. We expected lots of wildlife but saw very little. I think it is just average, not a lot there to see.
