This is a newer, clean, hotel in a good location. It's close to downtown St. Petersburg.
We appreciated the evening reception and breakfast buffet so we didn't have to go find a restaurant for dinner and breakfast.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The shuttle driver told me his favorite beach was Pass a Grille. We went there and it was our favorite beach too. The bar tender at the evening reception was really nice and friendly too.More

I had never heard of Staybridge Suites before our recent trip to St. Pete. The reviews looked promising, so we decided to check it out for our one-night stay to attend a wedding at the nearby Vinoy. We were extremely satisfied with our accommodations. This hotel is very modern and clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The suites are like little apartments, with complete kitchen area, living area, sleeping area, and very large bathroom. The bedding is soft and comfy, and the bath towels are large and plush. Although the hotel is not really within walking distance of downtown, they have a free shuttle service with friendly drivers (Ryan and Jay) who happily take you to and from the downtown area with just a phone call. Other family members of ours chose to stay at the Hilton, which was in the same price range, but they were not as satisfied. They said the Hilton was "old and dingy" and nowhere near as modern, clean, and spacious as our accommodations at Staybridge. The Staybridge staff really makes you feel like family.

On the positive side -- nice rooms, a relatively modern setting, a good location (if you have a car) - the Dali Museum and the Palladium are within minutes. The staff is courteous and helpful.
On the negative side -- I checked-in on Saturday. On Sunday I was in meetings. When I returned to my room late on Sunday evening I discovered that no one cleaned/organized the room. It turns out that there is no housekeeping service on Sundays, unless you have asked for it on the previous Friday... On the previous Friday, I was in another State...
So I spent Sunday night in a room that was quite disorganized, with no clean towels. Not the greatest environment. I believe I should have been TOLD UPON CHECK-IN about the weekend rules and be given the opportunity to request housekeeping service there and then. This is not fair (and I paid full price for the room, including of course the weekend days).

Just spent a 3 day weekend here, staff is fantastic and the shuttle will take you anywhere in the city! The entire property is very very clean and well maintained.

A decent, well-run Staybridge Suites. Clean room, very comfortable bed, well designed room with a full, surprisingly well-equipped kitchen. Breakfast selection was good. Staff very friendly. It is what we expected in terms of quality from a Staybridge Suite Hotel. However, it is misleading to call this a downtown hotel. It is a long, rather bleak walk to get to the true downtown area. Fortunately, the hotel runs a free shuttle to the downtown area, which we used several times.

Great hotel. Very professional staff. One of our family was on crutches. Realizing the room was very far from the elevator we requested a change and they quickly and easily accommodated us. We had two rooms one facing the pool on 4th floor, the other on the third floor facing the front of the hotel. Shuttle was great to get to dinner. Great recommendations from staff. Only negatives were the sound heard from other rooms. We had to listen to several speaker calls from the man next door. I Also noticed some of the furniture had not been wiped down. I think I only noticed because of the way the sun was coming in the window at the time of day we checked in.
