“Easily Best in the Region”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2014

Decided to chance it for my son's high school graduation party based on numerous excellent reviews. The best cake I've had in 45 years (Italian Rum Cake) and as others have said you'll feel like you just got transported to NY. For me, it was back in time to our local market on Long Island when I was very young back in the '60's. Walk into Mazzaro's and smell. Instant time warp for me. Look around, from the small carts to the meat market, from the cheeses to the bakery, cold cuts to imported canned tomatoes. Everyone was so friendly and helpful & the food so fantastic, maybe it's a good thing Mazzaro's is 65 miles away!

“A Great Place to Stock Up on Italian Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2014

If you are into cooking Italian, you must make this place a stop on your travels. It is a full market carrying every type of Italian product you can think of. It's huge! There are sections completely devoted to wines, another for cheeses, another for cold cuts, another for pastas. If you are looking for that special Italian product that you can't find in Florida, this is the place to go. You can also eat here, but the lunch area was very crowded when we were there, so we passed. Wouldn't hesitate to go back though.

“Closest place to Italy without the plane ride.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2014

We have frequented Mazzaro's on many occasions, because it is truly as close to Italy as you can find in the U.S. It is truly a great day trip destination if you do not live nearby. Upon entering you will see ornate Italian cars and collectibles like entering a museum of food. Besides the wonderful restaurant to enjoy FRESH made Italian cuisine, but you can also take time to buy all your favorite Italian foods in their Italian Market. Everything from fresh produce, quality meat market, deli, olive bar, imported cheeses, gourmet goodies, wines from around the world, pastas fresh, Italian bakery all made there! They offer a wine tasting on Fridays and Saturdays.
While dining in the restaurant or bar, you can typically rub elbows with Italians that are there for an Italian reason! I can't wait to go back again very soon, next time with a cooler to store all the wonderful fresh produce and meats. Heavenly foodie experience !

“Great Italian Market”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2014

Everything you could want in one place. Coffee bar, bakery, sandwiches and grocery items. Very good selection of pastries and breads. My wife loves their cookie selection. Great deli section with very helpful people. Bought some tomato sauce to take back for spaghetti dinners. We always make the drive over from Treasure Island. Very good sandwiches to go. Plenty of parking. It's a huge place.

“Longtime fan of Mazzaro's and they didn't let us down for our Son's Wedding!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2014

Mazzaro's catered the reception for our Son's wedding last week. The food was excellent and delivered right on time and everything we ordered was wonderful. They also did the cakes - cannolli filling and gold dusted butter cream frosting - and they were outstanding. Our guests all raved about the food and the presentation they did with the platters and cakes. They may not be the cheapest place to use but I would dare say they are the best at what they do in the Bay Area. You cannot go wrong with anything they prepare - it's all so good. Any doubts? Then try to go there for lunch or to shop anytime around 11 - 2 and see just how packed it is inside with people either dining in or taking out or simply getting groceries and specialty items. Love that place!
