Amazing , authentic and with great ambiance. I will come back to Saint Petersburg even for just a dinner at Gateway to India!

To start with, the ambiance was simply superb. The interiors were so amazing that makes you feel as in India. We tried Peshawari Naan for the first time ever and it was very delicious. Fish and okra masala were also good. A must try restaurant at St.Pete!

Was hesitating to go due to lack of quality and authentic Indian cuisine. This was by far some of the best Indian food I've ever had! Will be back ASAP!

Delicious Indian food at affordable prices. Ambiance is quite lovely. My husband and I both had lamb dishes. Vindaloo and saag. Very tasty. We wanted to try a goat dish, but our waiter explained that the chef was not happy with the goat. Lucky for us, because the lamb dishes were great. We also ordered a samosa appetizer and garlic naan. Needless to say, it was quite a feast and we brought home what we couldn't finish. Looking forward to going back and trying other dishes.

Gateway to India opened recently on Bay Pines Blvd. A friend and I really enjoyed their buffet. There were 3 selections of rice, also fresh tomatoes and lettuce available for a side salad, 3 chicken dishes, one potato dish, another like an eggplant ratatouille (of course, Indian, not French), and a spinach dish, along with dessert. All the dishes we tasted were flavorful and not overly spiced. Dessert was a bit disappointing ... a whipped cream mango pudding that was a bit too sweet and sugary ... but perhaps that's the way it is supposed to be.

The tables and booths are nicely set, and the décor comfortable. Service was just fine. Although a buffet doesn't normally entail "service", I want to note that although the restaurant was supposed to open at 11:30, the door was opened at 11:20 because of a terrific rain downpour, so we could come in and be comfortable. Definitely recommend for lunch.
