“Worst Customer Experience of My Life”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

Hate to slam a restaurant this way, but it was just awful. Let's start with the 60 minute wait to be seated, and that's with a reservation. Once seated we had to wait another 20 minutes to get our drinks ordered. We were all quite hungry by that time but our waitress said she would take our dinner order after she finished up with another table. We asked if she could bring us bread and water. They were out of water glasses and the bread never came until our meal was served. It took 100 minutes from the time we walked in until they took our dinner order. Our water came at 110 minutes. When the meals finally came 130 minutes in to our visit, the steaks were not cooked correctly. I had medium rare and it was fine, but three other people ordered medium well and theirs were RARE. When the manager came around to ask us how we were enjoying our meal, we politely relayed our experience was less than satisfactory. He apologized and let us know we could have desert on the house and would take $50 off each of our bills. Ok, that makes me feel a little better. Every restaurant has an off night. But when the desert came, a little black bug came crawling out from underneath the chocolate cake. Are you kidding me??? We called the waitress back over, she went to get the manager again, he never showed up. We decide to just pay our bill and get the heck out of there, it had been three hours! The waitress says she can't split the check between our two parties, but can split it 50/50. That's a first. When we get the bill, the $50 credit doesn't show up. The waitress doesn't know anything about it. Manager #2 has to come over and take care of that. What a fiasco, none of us will ever step foot in that restaurant again. As we left the nearly empty restaurant, the couple at the next table had been waiting 30 minutes to place their order. And no they did not have a single water glass on the table.

“A bit disappointed”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

Maybe it was the fact that it was so crowded that I was disappointed, so maybe because we had to wait so long to get served. However, the food was wonderful with large portions. Might want to try this place at an early hour (before 7:00) before it gets really busy. Steaks are awesome! Nothing to complain about in the steak department, Done to perfection. Wait staff needs a bit of help in the "smile department", but I am sure they were all "just having a bad day". I was recommend this restaurant but call early for a reservation!

“Texas Size Portions.”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

We went there for my husband's 81st birthday and he really enjoyed his free Cowgirl 18 oz. T-bone. My 10-oz. filet was perfectly prepared and delicious with a smoky flavor. They have a nice choice of side dishes and garnishes. If you are looking for a bargain meal, this isn't the place. The desserts are way overpriced and not that great. The slice of chocolate cake was huge and at almost $10, should have been more moist with less grainy icing. Their steaks are very large and should be for the price. That said, by the way the place was packed early in the evening, a lot of folks must have thought it was well worth it. As for me, I'd only go there on a special occasion. Call me cheap, but I'd call it being older but wiser.

“My favorite steakhouse in St. Petersburg.”
Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

Excellent steaks, decent prices. Relaxed atmosphere. Steaks cooked over a unique mixture of mesquite and orange wood. Great flavor. Bottomles salad is very good too.

Skip the fred birthday steak. It is poor quality. The fillets are consistently good as is the Delmonico/Rib Eye.

Steaks as good or better than many of the go to impress places but prices allow more frequent visits.

Very consistent food. Not snooty. Not the best area but full time security at the door. You get great value for your money. If your real hungry get the six pound Texas Challenge..its free if you can finish it.
