“Enjoyable British food and nice people watching outside.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013 via mobile

We enjoyed the curried chicken, English pasty, and chicken pot pie. The kids really liked the macaroni bites.
Our server was not very warm and didn't offer flavored tea when we asked if the restaurant had sweetened tea. She didn't even ask us if we wanted dessert. But otherwise she was efficient.

“British Pub style food and decor”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

The place was packed, the hostess gave us a beeper and told us to expect to wait 15min to half an hour. We got buzzed to go back in about 5 minutes! We had fish and chips (good - exactly what you'd expect) and a medium curry. The curry spiciness rating is pretty timid - this was a fairly bland curry by my experience, I'd order extra hot next time. The food was good, the service was quick.

“Nice lunch restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

I had a delicious hamburger for lunch at this restaurant, and a couple of different beers, and everything was great, from service to food quality.

“As good as advertised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

One is always a bit weary of trying a pub style restaurant with a good reputation. In the case of Full Moon Under Water there is no need to be concerned. This is a good old-fashioned pub with great service and very varied menu. The Shepherds Pie is as good as it gets and the Coronation Chicken Salad was superb. With a fine selection of beers, reasonable prices and great service, this is a must for St Petersbury and the Pier area.

“Great food and excellent prices!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

Sunday at 6:00 and it was packed, but they seated our five in
less than 30 minutes. Unpretentious and comfortable, they have
several seating options, including a sidewalk patio area and a
big covered front porch with a view of the bay.
While operating under the guise of an English Pub, a glance at
the menu will tell you there's more going on here than fish and
chips and Indian curry. An interesting assortment of salads are
offered that can be customized with chicken or seafood cooked
in a variety of styles.
The portions are generous, and half orders are offered.
One of our party had a half order of the cobb salad and couldn't
even eat an entree! Everyone was thrilled with their dinners, the
recipes are well thought out and great care is given to it's
preparation. The service was not flashy but very solid. This is a
place to keep going back to until you run out of things to try, and
you won't go broke in the process..
