Red Mesa is worth a visit. The food is consistently good and they have very good ice tea.
Wait staff are great. Unique flavors and interesting menu items make a good dining experience.

“southwest - real thing”
Reviewed April 17, 2010

Nationhood family feel to the place – you know straight away this is to be a culinary moveable feast.

Okay, I’ll admit it; I’m a sucker for great South Western Foods – foods that generally include the best of Mexico, Central and South America. Let’s not forget fusion that the chef’s think are off the chain.

We opened with Crevice and Seared Tuna (South West/Tokyo Style) then we both had the enchilada trio – duck, pork, crab & shrimp. To drink we enjoyed white sangria.

An outstanding restaurant and the best meal I have had since a return from SE Asia three weeks ago.

consistently great! creative southwestern cuisine. the duck enchiladas are incredible. you will NOT be disappointed with the enchilada trio! Argentinian skirt steak is delicious and the pork dishes are terriffic too. my wife and I always enjoy the sangria- not too sweet like many restaurants. go early - 6pm, because you may have to wait.

“Best Restaurant in Tampa for Mexican”
Reviewed November 28, 2009

Red Mesa begins with a wonderful atmosphere - the outdoor seating area is beautiful, with a small fountain and a lovely garden. Next up are the perfect pitchers of sangria - pitch perfect with a reasonable price. I ordered indvidual tacos - thumbs up for mexican with vegetarian options such as tofu! Also to die for was the ahi taco and the duck taco with goat cheese - those three together were the perfect meal size. My friend got a chicken burrito, and also found it to be delicious. The bar had live music that evening - and while we didn't check out the bar scene, it looked like a great place to check out later at night.

“Best Mexcian Food East of Mexico City”
Reviewed September 12, 2009

Having moved from NYC I had given up on finding quality Mexican food. This place was so good that I may go again next weekend. The only negative is..... and a big one... No full bar=no tequila.
