“Great stay”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

I stayed here for one night to see a Rays game and some sightseeing. The hotel is fabulous . Friendly staff the minute you walk in the door and helpful with tips for things to do. There is even shuttle to the game! Room was clean and nicely furnished. Larger room than I anticipated from a "boutique". Unlike another reviewer who had a small bathroom, mine was quite large. Nice amenities in there too. And yes, things were hopping in the Tap Room on a Friday night after the game. But the room was quiet. Never heard a sound. Great, comfy bed

My husband and I recently stayed here overnight and took in a rays baseball game. Hotel lobby so clean and beautifully decorated.front desk staff made you feel so welcome. We stayed in king bed room..so clean..the hardwood floor was shining. The bathroom a little small, reminded us of europe, basic no frills but very clean. The covered front deck has large comfy couches if you want to curl up with a good book in the evening. $8 cab ride to tropincana field...so close. Hollander hotel also has awesome little coffee shop, just off the lobby area. Jeremy served us great coffee and offered advise on what we should see while in the area.he was so friendly. Bartender Jason provided great friendly service. Overall a wonderful experience. My husband and I would recommend this hotel. This will be our hotel of choice when visiting next time.

Room Tip: We didn't stay long enough to check for pool or fitness area so not sure if they have one..sorry

I recently stayed here for a couple days while I was in town seeing friends and family and was looking for a spot that was close to the downtown st. pete (dtsp) nightlife and stumbled upon this little gem. First off, you can easily spend several hours at the Tap Room bar downstairs that has an old school vibe (had a sinatra type singer one night cranking out some tunes) with great drinks and a staff that is beyond friendly. Probably the coolest staff I've ever met at a bar. Pretty much made you feel at home. Back to the location. You're about a few blocks walk away from bars like Cask and Ale, MacDintons, and Yard of Ale, to only literally name a few out of the many. Also, if you're out of town and your ball team is playing the Rays then you're only a mile up the street from that. Plus, tickets are cheap

The rooms themselves were great. Had all my needs even a little kitchen area. Comfortable beds, couches, flat screen...basically it was like a big studio apartment with some class. Everyone that worked at the hotel was extremely inviting and helpful. With that said, I had a phenomenal stay and when I come back for a visit in the summer, this is the hotel I will be staying at.

Was in St. Petersburg this past weekend for the Indy race. Found this gem through Trip Advisor. The location and free parking are great, but what really makes this place are the friendly, genuine service from everyone that works there and the authentic vibe. Our room was small but there are plenty of lounge areas; we loved sitting on the big front porch. This is the real deal for those who value gently restored, quaint hotels. You can walk to everything or catch a ride with Wendy in the golf cart. The bar is lots of fun with the caribou head gazing down on you and Leah the mixologist creating a special concoction for you.

Room Tip: There are wooden floors throughout this three story hotel but we had no noise problems being on the...

I stayed here with my wife on my birthday and must say it was a great time! The hotel has character and personality. What was neat about this hotel is the layout gave me the feeling I was in a nice wintery home in say Connecticut, yet when entering our room it felt completely like a room at a Florida beach!

Our room was clean, had a kitchenette with all the trimmings, a flat screen tv with a great channel selection and the bed was very comfortable.

As a resident of St. Pete I am proud to see a great hotel like this in our downtown area. Also, please do not visit expecting a Hilton or Vinoy. This is unique, this is Boutique!

Room Tip: Be wary of Williams park when walking day or night.

This is really a nice hotel near downtown St Petersburg. We were here for a family wedding and were treated with the utmost respect. The rooms in the original part are small but they do have larger rooms in the newer section and they do allow pets for an additional fee. There are also plenty of museums and they do have a shuttle bus that'll take you there but you'll need to check with them for its operating hours. The onsite restaurant is also very good as well. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Wish we had planned to stay 2 or 3 nights. Right in downtown St Petersburg the Hollander is was built in 1933 and is renovated but used original flooring hardwood so polished you can see yourself in it. Very comfortable bed. The taproom looked most inviting. Had we stayed longer we would have tried it. The decor was so interesting with lots of memorabilia . Lovely
