Love this garden... the city has wrapped it's buildings around it but still it remans a gem. You don't need to long to tour it, but at the same time you could stay all day.

We visited after several busy days and it was a place of calm. To be honest if you are used to Kew Gardens, in London, (as we are) it is a bit small and lacking in variety. We thought it was a shame that those interesting and unusual trees that were in the garden were not labelled. We might have thought it was a touch pricey to get in if we hadn't torn a 2 for 1 voucher out of one of the many discount booklets you can pick up.
Having read previous reviews about Carabbas Italian restaurant (next door) we went back in the evening and were not disappointed.

We took our 2 little boys here for a visit and they really liked it, as did we. It had really cool plants and trees as well as interesting birds and a giant turtle, lizards, parrots. We didnt spend over an hour there with two little kids you see it and keep trucking on and not dilly dally over stuff :-) It was pretty. not too expensive but we did mention to one another that it could of been a few dollars cheaper coz its not a big event.

You could miss it driving by, but it is a delight when you find it. We had seen the little sign taking Exit 24 on I75S and said "some day, let's go there." There isn't much advertising, so we put it off and then got a TravelZoo offer and decided to go. The fee is minimal actually.
It is a haven in an urban business area: peaceful, beautiful, and so appealing we had to make the rounds again. Having an ice cream place nearby is an added plus.
