A little slice of the Sea at your finger tips. As you walk around the Aquarium you will see and learn about many under sea creatures - touch first hand a Star-fish and find out how they move and gather food. The staff is very informative and earger to share their knowledge. The aquarium is a wonderful treat when visiting St. Petersburg, FL.

You can pretty much see the entire aquarium from standing in the gift shop before you pay to go in. Not worth the money.

We were out for an evening stroll and decided to pop in. The price was right ($4 pp - AAA rate) and there is alot to see for such a small area. However, what really made it for us was the staff. We saw a young lady feed all the fish, making sure we could see and then the front desk attendant gave us a behind the scene view of the baby horsefish. I understand the will be expanding to a new nearby location, but it is worth the visit now.

Kids love the view and so do I. The top deck is best restaurant view out in water only one of its kind rite there. Will be replaced soon so better get your pictures while you can. Cause once they start construction pile driving noise is going to bounce off water like an amplifier.

We visited midweek in October 2012, and although the pier was very quiet, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We had a pleasant walk out across the causeway and then had a good look around. Highlights for us were the views from the top floor observation deck - it was fun to watch planes take off and land from the small airport close by. Also enjoyed the aquarium, although it was quite small. They had a hands on exhibit where you could hold small marine animals. I held a large hermit crab (it nipped my finger, but not too hard) and a huge starfish with long legs which walked all over my forearm and felt really tickly. I fed the pelicans outside the front entrance, and that was great fun. We had a good look round all the shops and bought some gifts to take home. I think the atmosphere would have been better if it hadn't been so quiet, but we would still recommend it.
