“Disappointing changes at the Musuem”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2014

The History Musuem used to have many displays about St. Petersburg that appealed to visitors and new residents. These displays have been removed to give the space to traveling displays. Currently, there is an exhibit with pictures from WW 2. Very limited parking available.

“Nice mix of interests”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2014

My interest in military history enticed me in to see the exhibition of the American Soldier. The collection of photographs from the Civil War to recent conflicts was superb - particularly rare photographs of the Civil War. The quirkier local history exhibits and flight museum, together with perhaps the world's largest collection of autographed baseballs made for an interesting afternoon when combined with a visit to nearby refreshments overlooking beautiful views. Extremely helpful staff.

“History museum - heavy on war memories and baseball”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2014

Small museum that traces the history of America in different wars. Laid out in a smooth transition from one era to another. Also has a small "Cooperstown" baseball hall of fame. On the pricey side for a limited museum. Nice location on the waterfront.

“Well worth a visit for us non Americans”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2014

For us it was great learning quite a lot here. The bonus was a gentleman that worked there was happy to share quite a bit of knowledge. We spent a few hours there. The admission fee wasn't too much and we enjoyed it. The place is well organised and has good descriptions. The baseball hall of fame wasn't up and running then.

“A nice surprise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2014

Didn't think I'd find this of more than an hours worth of interest. How wrong I was. It encompassed a history of flight beyond St. Petersburg. The Mini Baseball Hall of Fame was the surprise. If you are interested in baseball than seeing over 4000 signed baseballs and listening too and reading about the baseball greats was worth the trip. The museum tells history using multi media approach that will keep young and old entertained. It is still adding to the collection and will have a cafe too in the near future. Well worth a return visit
