“Sad facts of history brought to life”

Leaves a lasting impression of the horrors of extermination of a group of people based on fears and prejudices of another group of people. Such an abomination should be remembered and learned from.

“Important”

I loved this museum as it touches your soul. It not only reminds us of the horrors of the holocaust but also of on-going human rights issues.

“Fresh reminder”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

The staff was exceptional at this Museum. All had been mentioned but I keep telling people about the railroad car used for transport to concentration camps. I understand there is a History DVD available that explains how it came to rest inside the St. Petersburg museum. It's a sight not to be missed on a visit to the area.

“We should never forget this horrifying time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

The museum is a sobering and haunting experience which goes some ways to providing an insight into the horrors these people endured. The staff are helpful and informative. The museum is small but is over 3 floors. Take the time to go through all of the floors. The train car which was used to take these brave people to the concentration camps will bring tears to your eyes. The childs ring that they found while cleaning the car out before putting it on display will leave you in tears.

“Very educational. loved the audio tour aspect.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

The neat part was that you get a hand-held audio unit that you can listen to someone explain each of the exhibits, without having to be in a big group. The box car was an intersting thing to see, but also very sad. Great learning experience.
