***Although I put November of 2011 on here for when I visited; the shows I saw in this review take place way before this.***
Been going to this theatre since I was a kid! The last show I saw there was with a friend and it was "The Wizard of Oz" with the Florida Orchestra, where the music was taken out of the film and played live and in person by the orchestra. We had wonderful seats for it...orchestra seating in the raised alcove in the back. The balcony was above us but it never bothered our view.
I got to see 2 touring Broadway companies there as well:
"The Wedding Singer: The Musical", which was based on the Adam Sandler movie and "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street". Both shows, the seats were amazing and didn't feel squished in them like in most theatres.
If you want to see a good show, see one here. Awesome theatre.
