I enjoyed dinner here with my family. The food was surprisngly good and it was very convenient for us to walk out of our place and get a good meal close to home. Definitely reccommend.

My husband and I moved to St. Pete about 6 months ago and are trying out a new restaurant every Friday or Saturday night (date nite). Thai is our favorite and we decided to head further west on Central Ave than we have been going. We found Chiang Mai and stopped in. I had the Pad See Yew with seafood spiced up a bit and loved it! The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the food there better than the previous two thai places we've been to. We'll definitely go back when we have a craving for thai!

“A little gem”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

Located by a sports stadium we were not expecting anything great but boy were we surprised. The lunch menu had about 25 basic combinations of sauces, brown, coconut, black been, white, curry, (can't remember them all) and different vegetables and spices. I ordered a Ginger Roots combination with assorted vegetables and then added shrimp. Base price is $6.95 with pork or chicken, $8.95 with shrimp, and 10.95 with more exotic seafood. Order the base, comes with sticky rice, soup, and a cabbage roll, and then add the proteins of your choice. The ginger wasn't overwhelming but you really knew it was there. My wife had a red curry base with vegetables and added chicken. The veggies were fresh and slightly crunchy, the sauces may have been toned down a bit for Americans but still had a nice presence.

“Good taste of Spice in St. Peterburg”
Reviewed April 22, 2012

Greta little resturant with a very friendly service and great tasting Thai food. Reasonable priced for the area and ample parking near the resturant. the portions are large but a great variety for all tastes and authentic home made.

I travel a great deal for my business and have had sushi all over the country. Chiang Mai Thai was OUTSTANDING!! It fares very well when compared with the finest sushi restaurants in California and Hawaii. We also got the Pad Thai and it was very good as well. The service was attentive without being over bearing. It was a great experience and the price is right! I highly recommend Chiang Mai Thai for lunch and/or dinner. The specialty rolls provide a great deal of food and are enough for one (at least THIS one) and the Pad Thai was also a healthy portion. OUTSTANDING!!
