The exhibit is wonderful and is Chihuly's only permanent museum collection in the US. If you visit St. Pete. Do not miss it.

“Small Chihuly Class Act”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2013

This collection is lovely. While going through I kept thinking about all the work involved and the many hands that make this display possible. I was familiar with artist but had never had the chance to see a collection. Take the time to watch the video before if you are not familiar with Chihuly. Also they offer a guided tour which is very informative. We did a walk through first then went back with the guide. This was a festival for the eyes. Not any hands on for young children but they do have a glass blowing experience offered down the road at a working studio that would probably be fun for the younger audience.

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2013

A beautiful small gallery but with lots of punch! The glass work is exquisite! Be sure to watch the video before you view the glass. Lots of wonderful information about the artist and his work. A hint.... if you walk just down the street about two blocks there is a fabulous gelato shop on your right! Great place for a little break after viewing the collection!

“Beautiful Art”

Although not overly large it is a unique and beautiful collection. Would definitely recommend convenient location and is worth the price.

“Nice but expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2013

We had seen some of the artists work at the Corning Museum in New York, prompting this visit. If you go, dont miss the video in the building you buy the tickets.....quite expensive tickets for such a small collection! The video is very informative. After buying admission, we went to the collection next door. The number of works is small but representative of his work. There are plates, abstract, spheres, and chandeliers, nicely displayed. Photos are allowed. It would have been a nice addition to have a docent tour but this was not available when we were there. Worth the visit once you are over the sticker shock!
