Without a doubt the best attraction in St. Petersburg. We got off the ferry and took the free Downtown Looper which stops just right in front the ferry dock and dropped us right in front the Dali museum.
There was a line just to get in the front door and then a snaking line to get to a cashier to validate our online tickets and to get our hand bands.
They should have a separate line for those who pre-bought tickets versus those needing to purchase tickets as the queue would go much faster.
There was still a long line when we left 90 minutes later! This is clearly the most popular attraction in St. Petersburg.
There are free tours every hour throughout the day on different aspects of the museum and collection so do try to join one. We’re glad we did as we were short on time.
We learned so very much about Salvador Dali and his wife Gala; much more so than if we had just walked around on our own. I had been to a Dali exhibition in Washington D.C. before but it’s amazing how much of the man and his art is a mystery and pure genius! Dali was a force of personality and talent and remains my favourite artist.
Go and visit and learn about this enigma called Dali! You’ll never forget your experience here!
Tickets are $25 per adult but absolutely, totally worth It!
