Great location and a beautiful building. A combination of cement and glass so it's not giving a lot of warmth or cosy feeling, but in my opinion it matches with Dalí who wasn't into cosiness that much.
We had a free guided tour with an extremely enthousiastic woman who had lots and lots of stories to tell about the paintings and sculptures. Loved it, she made you look at the art in a different way by showing interesting details and telling facts I've never knew about Dalí.
Also the garden is pretty cool with the wish tree, the melted bench and a labyrinth in it & there's a huge gift shop which carries books, jewelry, clothing, posters, souvenirs, presents for kids etc etc. Prices start at about 3$ for a small souvenir, 6$ for a booklet, 20$ for a melted clock, but there are also necklaces and rare books for +100$.
I didn't expect such an awesome museum here in Florida with a great collection of Dalí art, I've also visited the Dalí museum in Spain and I always thought the best works were over there.
Only con is that you really have to make sure you mention any discounts on your tickets in advance (student, soldier, police officer, elderly people etcetera) because the staff is not willing to refund any money when you suddenly discover you're discounted after the payment.
In my case they just said 'who cares for those couple of bucks'. Well, actually I do.
