Just back from 6 days at Trade Winds. Lovely location right on sandy beach. Lots to do. Our room was bright and spacious. We availed of the 12 dollar per room per day extra charge which allowed us park car, hire beach cabanas and towels and take paddle bikes out to sea. Some of the other things on offer were a bit pricey. For example, there is a KONK Club for Kids which at 40 dollars per child seemed high. Plus there is a wonderful inflatable water slide right on beach outside hotel but they charge 3 dollars per slide for 50 dollars for a day pass. Naturally, kids just want to keep going down and its disappointing that they just seem to want to grab more money off you.
Head to Skidders Restaurant across the road for
Breakfust, Lunch or Dinner. Excellent food,
great service and friendly ambience. The breakfast in hotel was overpriced and not very good. We were in the Breckenridge Section and this housed Pizza Hut which proved invaluable.
Really delicious pizzas and you can take them to the beach or poolside. There were a lot of Conventions on in the hotel when we were there and it can be a bit disconcerting as you stroll around in your bikini to meet with people, obviously on business. The hotels moto is
'just let go' and they encourage you to do just that.
People were swimming in pools up to 12 at night!
A very laid back atmosphere but they want your dollar so beware!!!!
