Just returned to the UK after a couple of weeks in Florida, stayed at the Beachcomber, (again), just love this place, whenever we get there, we are happy. Must have sayed here more than a dozen times now, nothing better than sitting at Jimmy B's beach bar, listening to the live music, and watching the sun-set. Get up in the morning, stroll along the beach, and watch the Dolphins/pelecans, just superb. Be back next year too!"

This hotel has it all for the price. It's not the Ritz but I am picky about cleanliness, service, location & amenities for a good price. The entire staff was more than accomodating, two nice pools, the Tiki Bar was such fun, and the ajoining bar featured live music 7 nights a week, and during the day the Tiki bar offered afternoon entertainment. Also a sports bar on the property, food service at all 3 locations (burgers, etc) The beach was "right there" and beautiful. Yes you do pay to rent cabana style beach loungers, beach sports, etc. Located near lots of good restaurants, grocery stores, (Publix a few blocks away, 7-11 across the street) you can walk a short distance & get a lot without paying for a cab. Frig. & coffee maker in each room, & some rooms offer a kitchen area as well. This was our second stay & so happy we went back. I lived in the area in the 80's & for the price, this can't be beat. And we will go again! Lexington, Ky.

This was our first trip, and we are already talking about going back. This place is awesome. We loved the Player's Lounge, the staff was extremely nice and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Try the huge hamburger in the Player's Bar, biggest, best, burger I've ever had. The beach is beautiful and the water was warm even in Oct/Nov. I would highly recommend the Hotel

Very nice clean room with excellent A/C. Large walkin closet let you store the suitcases, beach chairs etc. outside of the living area. Larger hotel refridgerator was very cold and had plenty of room for several 12 packs of pop and a gallon of milk. Beach area was beautiful and less crowded than most. Umbrellas and cabanas were available for a charge The beach bar had good entertainment in the evening. Another plus was the 7/11 directly across the street.

We have stayed on the gulf side a number of times, but this was our first trip to St. Pete's Beach. We found the Beachcomber on the Internet - and it truly exceeded our expectations. Very convenient to John's Pass, Clearwater, Ft De Soto, Tampa, etc.

Jimmy B's was great! as was Player's! Great service, great personnel.

I have already recommended Beachcombers to family and friends, and am looking forward to another visit next year.

This September I returned to Beachcomber for my 4th visit. It just keeps getting better and better. They don't treat you like family; they treat you like long lost friends. Everything from their warm and sincere smiles to making sure that all my needs were looked after. One person at the desk even remembered my name! If you are looking for a 5 star resort with all the emnities, this place is not for you. The Beachcomber is a beautiful, well maintained, safe and affordable escape for those who enjoy breathtaking sunsets, good tmes, and quality service that money can not buy.

If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay with your family this is it. We took our whole family down to St Pete for the July 4th celebration and weren't disappointed. Our group consisted of a set of 60something grandparents, three 20something couples, a two year old, a nine month old, a 50 something aunt and a 30 something cousin. Everyone had a great time. The beach and the pool were great, the rooms were nice and all together. The location is convenient to everything you need or want, but for all of us, including the two year old, Jimmy B's was the best. The music kept us all dancing from 2 in the afternoon until it was time for grandma to put the babies to bed. Sitting on the deck watching the sunset is a fitting transition from playing on the beach to listening to the bands. If you're into sports, the Players Sports Bar is the place to be. This was our third stay at the Beachcomber, but our first stay over the 4th of July holiday. The firework displays along the beach both professional and otherwise, were fantastic. Grandma & Grandpa will be back in December for a pleasure trip and in February for a business trip.
