We were so excited when we arrived and saw the beautiful view but that's where it ended. The room was outdated and dirty. The fans and shower head were totally rusted. We were so disappointed for $125 a night!! This hotel could be nice with better cleaning and some cheap updates.

We have been coming here for 44 years and despite changes in ownership and even a name change (it was originally "the Cadillac on the Gulf"), this is like coming home to the best, most relaxing beach motel ever. You get to know the others who stay at the same time--most are from the midwest--and form lasting friendships from this experience. Often the people here have come for years--first as kids--then to bring their own families. Everyone does their own thing--whether it's just sitting and reading, or going out to the many restaurants on the beach, or more elaborate adventures (Disney World is only 84 miles away). We've gone from young vacationers to old during out time here. My wife came with her family in the 50s and 60s, brought me here starting in the 70s and our kids came starting in the 80s--now we're back to coming as a couple again. Yes, sure, there may be a few maintenance issues which pop up, but the owner, Roman, is attentive if you point anything out, and it gets fixed right away, and the cleaning lady, Alicia, keeps the rooms impeccably clean. It's not fancy, but you can't beat the location, or the experience--whether it's a couple or family.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good, but there are 3 beach front rooms at a slightly higher price than the others.

This is a $50 a night motel charging $85 a night. The very basics are done like changing the sheets and vacuuming the carpets. The accessibility to the beach is very nice and desirable. One of the windows had a broken latch leaving easy access into the room from outside. The little things are not being done such as fixing the peeling paint and dusting the light fixtures. Hotel Impossible would help this motel move into a position to deserve the money they charge.

My family and I stayed here 2 weeks ago for 3 nights. This is a really nice 16 unit motel. Our unit was near the pool and directly facing the beach. We thought at first it might be a little loud because of the proximity to the pool but it was very quiet. The room was a little outdated but it was very clean and big enough for the 3 of us. The kitchette was also very clean although they could use a new, more powerful microwave. The bathroom was small not a lot of space for all your toiletries but there was a good size closet in there for storage. The sunsets on the beach were beautiful! We enjoyed staying here and would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: Unit 114 is by the pool and faces the gulf

If you are looking for a small hotel that is clean, convenient and right on the beach, stay here! It is older and a little dated, but who cares?? The service was great, the unit was clean and perfect for a family. You can make breakfast in your swim suit and head to the beach, which was as soft as powder. The only negative was the soft mattresses, which is why I didn't give the stay a "5" rating. I will be returning!

Room Tip: Choose room 115 or 107 - at the end by the pool.
